Chile, India, NigeriaCanada is contributing $200 million in fast-start financing to the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) of the Climate Investments Funds (with $100 million delivered in Canada's fical year 2011/12 and $100 million in 2012/13). The Climate Investment Funds are a pair of funds to help developing countries pilot low-emissions and climate-resilient development. Canada was already a leading contributor in the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) of the CIFs, with $100M provided as a grant over 2008/09-2009/10. The CTF promotes scaled-up financing for demonstration, deployment and transfer of low-carbon technologies with significant potential for long-term greenhouse gas emissions savings.
